Got under my Impala today, found that the entire carb and kickdown linkage is a cobbled mess. Held in place with baling wire. Anyone know where a guy could get a brand new linkage setup? I figure newer is better.

  5. There is still a good chance you can get the factory set up off of a car at a salvage yard.

If that turns to be too much of an obstacle, you could make your own. You can buy small heim or clevis joints and connect them with the appropriate size rod length.

BUT... Lokar makes a pedal ***embly that you can buy.

Personally I'd try to make the clevis joint one, or maybe a rod shop has extra shifter linkage from a Gennie or Lokar shifter laying around. That's the kind of set up I'm talking about.

Good luck with the bailin' war situation,
