Last night this car finally was placed back down onto the ground on all four tires after 48 years..............It was a real cool moment.............You can still see and find most of the original factory paint colors marking the parts from assembly.......which is real neat............. Do you think you could repost a couple of the original pics from 2011 when you first found the car? They aren't showing up in your first post anymore. I've always been a big fan of the '62 Chevy ever since my grandparents bought a yellow '62 Impala SS (283 automatic) with yellow bucket seats when I was 10 years old. When do you expect to be able to take it for a spin around the block? Keep up the great work on it....

  10. I missed the Fort Lee, VA tag on the front bumper in the beginning, man this is closer then I thought! I* went to Culinary School in 68'.

Love that Fort Lee sticker on the bumper (along with the whole car and story). I had forgotten about the military bumper stickers. Couldn't get on the base without one.

Just went through this thread tonight - remember it well - would be cool to know where the car is today.

Always wondered myself too. Dave hasn't been on since June of '20 best I can tell. There were some health issues in the family from what I've read, hope all is well. Great find, found by the right guy. What a master craftsman.
