Today I moved it into the garage (because the roadster is at the upholsterers to get a tonneau cover) next to the wagon, the T'bird and the Diamond T.
So far, there has been no biting, even though the DeSoto wagon raised its hood and growled, and no scratching of paint. I took my wife for a ride around the lake, when we got back she said, "I didn't even feel like we were in immenent danger of breaking down!", so, on all front's the Impala is adjusting to it's new home pretty well.
She did ask if it wasn't supposed to shift one more time, so the 4.11's didn't get past her either...

Glad I'm not the only one who treats his cars like kids or pets. Wife almost caught me singing love songs to the Chevy recently...

That is a fine looking Chevrolet. 327? The black wheels and the dog dishes or whatever you call them caps and side exit exhaust gives it an all business look.

I am so glad you decided to buy that little car, although I don't think it took much persuading...

Changed oil today, date on the filter was 4/2012. Last licensed and driven (a couple hundred miles) in 2014.

It deserves to be driven and showed off. Heck, I’ll bet half the population doesn’t even know what it is.

The other cars are thinking ill thoughts about “the new kid” and the Impala is picking up on it. It’s having an inferiority complex right now and shits getting deep.
Brian, I’ll do you a solid. I’ll come out with a trailer, bring it here and let it have a normal childhood. Look, I’ll go one step better. I won’t even invoice you my normal charges for this stuff.
Hey, I just want to do what’s best for the ol gal;)

HA! That sounds like something I would expect from mine.

    Great Chevy, regardless!

Right? And, unlike any modern car, it can be driven, at highway speeds (or, it COULD if weren't for the 4.11 gears ) without the pressure buffeting one gets with a window down. There's very little wind noise, it's fun, and I feel pretty cool, driving it windows down. :)

Looked like anniversary gold in the first pic but now looking at the outside pics it looks a little darker. Know what the color is? Like it either way. Always liked a light colored roof like that just to set it off. Spent many an hour in my Dad's 62!

First time "out", it was well received, lots of compliments and positive comments about the car. It strikes a chord with people. And, I look good in front of it... A55C9425-7414-48FE-BC13-15005A68264C.jpeg 5DA1B6F1-6F89-46E0-8158-9755283AE479.jpeg
