Gentlemen, For years I have admired others build threads. So, figured I'd give it a shot myself. Hopefully along the way it will help with motivation, ideas and maybe even a few parts. So here it is, a 62 belair station wagon. Not perfect, not beautiful, not as nice as some other peoples, but mine. Some may ask, "why a wagon?" well, 28 yrs old, family of 5 and an attainable car.
The cons: somebodies fender repair, filled firewall, bent hood and shaved handles. Plus, almost completely dis***embled

You haven't stated your direction yet, but it's always good to see someone else's interpretation of your car, even if it's to help you decide which direction you don't want to go.
did you take it apart, or buy it like it is? have motor, etc? be sure to mount fan in front of motor - Ha!
As for a direction, I plan to add disk brakes, and even though most of you would shoot me for it, an LS motor. I'm obviously in to the original motors, hell my 61 belair bubble top g***es will have a 348 in it, but this car is being built as a daily driver that either my wife or I can take anywhere anytime no matter what. Its gotta be kid friendly and wife friendly or it won't happen! I'm going to redo the red interior and maybe paint it white? Not 100% sure on that yet. Would LOVE to find a roof rack for it too, call me silly but I think they make the car. As for wheels? Not sure yet... Something period cool for sure, I'm not really into 20s. Something will come along.
Car came out of So-Cal originally so floors, rockers and quarters are rock solid. Interior is mostly complete but needs paint, seat covers and a few odds. I have all the gl*** but one quarter gl*** is cracked.
Looks like a fun project. Got to build it for your needs be it Drag Week or Daily...its your car enjoy. The 62s are growing on me just a bit.
Wagons are cool! I had my eye on a Red 62 Biscayne Wagon years ago. Just sat beside an older house, and they did't want to sell it. It just deteriorated away; a sign never went up on it, and then one day it was gone. I figured it finally made the trip to a wrecking yard. Good you're saving this one. I believe there are a couple of 62 Chevrolet Wagons in the Modified Production drag car thread. I am Butch/56sedandelivery (sorta like a Wagon)
OK, you're silly. I have some roof rack parts that came with mine, & I elected to not use them. Both of the side rails, but none that go side to side. Not sure if they are original to the car or not. Maybe you'd like to be the new owner?
Cool, Back in 1969 I raced my 69 Cutl*** S in G stock at Temple Academy aka Little River Drag strip in Texas. I could usually win a few rounds against other street cars but eventually had to run against a 62 409 4 speed wagon that was or had been the national record holder in G Stock and had the back side windows plastered with national event decals. Needless to say he flat blew my doors off.
Nice wagon. Wanted a 2dr wagon for a long time and this finally showed up yesterday. 60 Ford Courier. Now to find some parts for it..........
