how do you remove the trim around the rear side gl*** on the 63 Chevy station wagons?? i see two screws in the side of the one piece at the door jamb but not sure how the rest comes off and i do not want to bend the **** out of it or damage any clips while doing it.

    any advice would be appreciated.
    thanks

I haven't seen one for awhile, but I think the moulding has a kind of lip or tounge on it that goes into the window rubber. And if the rubber is hard you might have to cut the rubber out and replace it. Might be able to help you more if you post a good picture.

Not really sure cause mines a belair and I'm guessing yours is an Impala
with the bright moulding. BUT,if you remove the trim on the inside you
will see short metal clamps with a couple phillip head screws underneath.
They hold the window and rubber in place so I'm guessing that if you
remove those clamps and the window and rubber from the INSIDE you
should be able to see whats holding the trim on.
I could be wrong tho, take a look and see what you think...

it is a Biscayne actually. no bright work on this one at all (not anymore at least). the trim is painted. that is the reason i want to take this trim off. it'll be easier to prep and repaint it off the car. i'm getting it ready for paint right now.
i'll have to pull that inner moulding and see what is back there. i never even thought of that.

    thanks
