Is the 63 Buick Dynaflow front pump pressed on to the case? I have some old manuals for the 57 dynaflow and it shows bolts around the pump. But the 63 just has some lugs like it may be bolted from the inside. How do I get it off of the case. I purchased a front seal kit and want to replace the bearing behind the seal.

I had mine apart earlier this year. I think you have to unbolt the pump housing from the trans case, because the bolts that hold the pump together are going in from the back.
1.Open and remove the converter, 2. remove bellhousing 3. remove valvebody 4. remove oilpump ***embly.
I wouldn´t do it without a repair or shop manual, because you have to retighten the bands after ***embly. It´s not difficult, but a little guidance is good. I used my chilton and that was very helpful!
