The wiper switch on my son's 63 Fairlane 500 decided to fall apart a couple of weeks ago. Basically the back just popped off and the inards fell out, some onto the floorboards and some got hung up under the dash. He decided to wait 2 weeks to both a) tell me about it, and b) look for all the little parts. So anyway, it looks like some of the stuff has gone missing in that period, so with fall/winter weather in the future I need to figure something out.

The # on the switch body is c30b-17a555-a1 and it also has RBM stamped on it. It has four terminals on the back side arranged in mirrored (side to side) pairs. All of the terminals are square to each other and stick out at 90 degrees to the body. One set has the terminal post to the outside and the other is set to the inside.

I have looked on the 'bay and some other sites and not found anything helpful. the replacement switches I've found have all had more terminals or a different layout.

Does anyone have any suggestions or a possible source for this part?

    Thanks.

Single or 2-speed? May be able to help with a temporary toggle arrangement if it comes to that.

I think there are only two choices. A single speed or two speed. Dang! got tree'd twice!

Hope you have better luck than I did, if it's a 2 speed! I couldn't find a switch for my '63 Falcon, and couldn't find wiring diagrams for my early 2 speed wiper. I ended up scrounging the wrecking yard and got a '73 Ford F150 truck 2 speed wiper and switch. It was a bolt in swap after changing brackets and arms.
