I'm looking at a 63 Ford F-100 with a long bed at a decent price, but needs a windshield to pass inspection. Anyone out there know of a good source for one in the central TX (hopefully) area? Asking here first before I start losing my eyesight in Hemmings.
I'd look in your local classified sources, not Hemmings. You might find it there, but I would guess you'd be over paying. There are still plenty of these around. Might check here too. http://groups.msn.com/slick60sfordfseries61to66/classifieds.msnw Or even the nazis (referring to the moderators) on this site (but their classifieds really suck now. I found my '61 there though): http://www.ford-trucks.com/classifieds/showcat.php?cat=17 Also, Trader online, cars.com, and many more. I stay away from e-bay, but I do see these on there for decent prices frequently.
Have you checked with your local glass shop? Maybe they would have leads on where to go if they couldn't handle something that old. .
Hey, I would think that any of the bigger dogs in the auto glass biz would be able ta nail ya down a windshield. It'sa Ford, not a Franklin.
