    Hey all!,
Im wondering if anyone has a link for good video or detailed diagram for the disassembly of the instrument cluster and dashboard for 63 LeSabre? Im about to dive into this and obviously would like to avoid damaging anything during the removal.
One priority i need to know is the dash pad (extension) piece. I need to get it to the upholstery guy in the next couple weeks. Is this clipped or are there nuts that need to be removed. I do have the service manual for the car but was hoping for some tips and insight before starting. Thanks much in advance! I really appreciate your help

You can gently pry out the black garnish mouldings surrounding the dash panel and the glove box. They are clipsed on as far as I remember. The padded dash edge is bolted in from the back ( moulding nuts), you will have to get all dash panels out ( dash/ glove box and center piece) to get access. Maybe you want to get the column out of the way too, just to make a little more room. The dash panels are plastic , better take care, they may be brittle after all those years.

PS: the center piece has to come out first.

Thanks much for the info. I was sble to get everything apart. What i found was that the upper strips of trim were clipped in so jyst had to gently pry them off the lower pieces were bolted through the glove box panel and instrument cluster. The came off with the removal of thos pieces bolted from behind. Unfortunately, lol, it took me breaking one of the trim strip bolts to find that out. Did drop the steering wheel but didnt remove the instrument cluster completely. But its far enough out that i can repaint the underside and top side of the dash. Entire interior is removed and out to upholstry shop now. Heres a short video of the carnage. I learned a lot from this and if anyone needs help, send them my way. Its really not too bad to do. Just a little patience.
