63 six in a 53 powerglide?

    Can i do it with the PG and torque tube? Rad. not a prob. Just want a bolt in no prob replacement for the babbit pounder someone put in my 53 pg car....WTF!!!!so i got a free 63 six, Is it worth the work? some say it will bolt right up, some say mounts, trans, and Rad all wrong....Any help is greatly needed!!!! THANKS!!

    If it's really a 1963 engine, it's the newer style six (230-250-292), and won't bolt to the '53 transmission. A '62 full size Chevy six would be the last of the 235s and would bolt to your existing driveline, but would need either a shortened water pump or relocated radiator.

    Awesome, I will run the #'s, But it came out of a well known 63, so I bet it wont work,,,Found a "good" "babbit pounder" if there is such a thing For 100$, But its a older one, like 47ish? Do the older sixes bolt up to the p.g.??
