History 64/65 Comets old drag cars lets see pictures

    Regarding the Comet in #262, I don't think it's a real one, Real ones did not have outside mirrors nor emblems on the rear part of the front fender, and would have had chrome? panels in the chrome down the sides--not paint.

    It is interesting how some Comets had traction bars bolted on and some were welded.If you have ever seen that front suspension in person it will scare the crap out of you! I can't believe they held up as well as they did.Shortened upper a-arms,lengthened spindles and the whole thing moved outboard!! It worked so I guess that was all that mattered!Great Photos!!! ROY.

    I will say it again, this is my favorite thread, yet. Thanks for all the old pics you guys dug up, and posted. Next is a Cyclone, after the Galaxie is buttoned up!

    Centurion,I may know of a 1964 Cyclone that ran C/FX.As you said,all B/FX and A/FX cars were Calientes.I'm still researching the C/FX Cyclone.

    I may have posted this before but any of you So. Cal guys remember this car? It was a buddy of mine's car that he raced at Lions and Pomona as well as a few other area tracks in the mid to late 60s. I think this photo was at Lions.
