Are you going to make it a 9.90 car or faster? I am North of Detroit also so I hope to see it in person down the road somewhere. looks nice.

Al are you using fiberglass replacement parts on the car, I see steel front fenders on it now! That roll cage is like a Pro Street car. Are you going with a 427 FE type motor? Or maybe a Big Cubic Inch Motor? What ever it going to look good!!!~~~~~~~~~AFX DAVE~~~~~~~~~~~

Mike;I had my first hood delaminate right in the lights, that was scary!! The inner and outer structures came apart, the outer section flew up about 40 feet, came down like a big leaf, almost no damage. The inner structure splintered into a bunch of pieces but the rear section stayed attached to the hinges and blocked my windshield, not fun at over 125MPH.Crites sent me a new inner structure for free,a friend bonded them back together, never looked right so I gave it to another friend who was going to rework it.I reinforced the new one before it was painted, never seen a top end photo of it,looks like I need to address that issue!!! Al;the cage looks super strong,I have way more cage than the rules say I need but I don't need my old body splattered in case of an issue!!!The glass fenders don't save that much weight, the hood and bumpers are the biggest weight loss.I gutted my doors and installed fixed Lexan windows,HUGE savings! ROY.

Great video you posted up, Eddie!! It really gets a good feel for the grittiness, and the comraderie that the A/FX group has out here in the West.

I was looking for rules to see if and how I could build my Comet to compete in Nostalgia Super Stock (apparently a Doug Nash replica can't!), I ran across this '64 for sale:

For those waiting on the revised registry with photos, its taken a back seat to finding full-time employment.

64 BFX Cyclone;it has been a couple of years so things may have changed, but when I talked to Mark Artis from Texas Thunder Performance these are some of the rules for N/SS,basically they are, stock type front suspension, back half frame structure, any type rear suspension,10.5W X 15" slick maximum,Ford products must use a FE engine, automatics or clutch assisted manual 4-speeds,safety equipment as per NHRA specs for the ET and speed you intend to run,NO Electronics, there were other details but that is the basics.Good Luck on the job hunt!! Roy,
I'm new here but am a Ford drag racer since '67. Do you have any idea why small blocks are not legal in N/SS? I race (for the last 37 years) a real '66 Shelby GT350. I still feel it's too valuable to cut for an FE but have a low 10 second small block for it. Actually would it be allowed in your group out here or is that a question for Dave?
    Thanks in advance,
    Randy
