This one is a little more affordable. No engine though. Roy this was practically in your back yard, What Happened.

Heck I would chip in for the Mopar also.

How about Huston Platt's '64 Comet. I believe that he had this car for only awhile in 1965 ...

I think that Comet became the Dixie Jumper.

I went a on field trip last Saturday March 17 2012 with 3 car clubs to DST the company that built the 64 AFX Comets and 64 T-Bolts. The department that we visited reprep new Fords and Lincolns for Nation and World Car Shows. They did Police cars for differant Citys and States with the New Hipo engines. They also Restore older Cars even differant makes, they have 4 paint booths and a large skilled crew that works there. I talked over billing rates they were more affordable then most of the Shops around the Country. Another plus is they been around sence 1955 and the turn around time is faster. Still waiting for my Ship to come in??? ~~~~~~~~AFX DAVE~~~~~~~~

Randy Payne ran a burgundy '64 Comet in '65 that I'd thought was the ex-Platt Comet. The flags on the two small pictures are the same as platt's though. Randy Payne didn't have flags and was non AWB.
How does that white one fit into the scheme of things?

I saw the Shake Rattle & Roll car run a few times as pictured but it was in '66-'67 not 1964.
I do have a picture of the Randy Payne car but I don't have permission to post it ... sorry. The picture is from the same day/event thatRichard Petty crashed his first Barracuda into the crowd.

I like the yellow 65 with the red lines. Nice combination that is a little different.

Sounds like a nice car Roy. I had the chance on a 66 HiPo Mustang fastback that was springtime yellow with the redlines. A 40k original mile unrestored car from my old boss at the Ford dealer. The car drove like new. I was just buying my house and the timing could not have been worse. We have all had some get away. Brian

Here's the cover to an old magazine I scored a couple of weeks ago from the classifieds, I wanted to crop the picture but that red band is at a funny angle and part of the car would have been cut off.
