Thanks for the information. We ran some Mopar Springs on a dirt car some years back but I didn't remember the dimensions. Can't wait to see your car finished.

Ken;the video was removed.I think the McCoy 64 was restored by DeLisio and was at Carlisle in 2004. ROY

Roy try again I fixed it.

Heres another Film trailer that Mike did at Bakersfield 06.I watched it again And I saw a familar bad ass blue comet in the staging lanes about half way through.Who knew you were already famous. This DVD is already available.I'll get you a copy. This kind of film is what he is doing again this year.Mike plans on hitting the Drag Fest out there,Hot Rod Reunion in Bowling green and california hot rod reunion in oct. There is also some east coast stuff also.Anyway hes looking to get hooked up with the nostalgic guys to interview, film there car going down the track and why we do what we do.Just something fun on the side.

These two Comets, each with a 289ci single 4-bbl, were at the recent Winternationals turning times faster than the original A/FX Comets. Amazing!

  12. This is my favorite version of the car. It looks like it had Astros on the front at the Winter Nats. and they changes to the ultra rare Howards wheels. They would run the Howards on their '65 Mopars. I've only ever seen 1 set of Howards and they are on the restored Paper Tiger Too. Anyone ever seen another set in person?

Here is the Howards wheel on the restored '65 S&M Paper Tiger Too. I think these are pretty cool wheels. I wish somebody would repop them.

Ken;that footage of the A/FX cars shows some qualifying and some first round. The Ranchero is my buddy Eric Christianson's,he runner upped at that meet,347,C-4,runs 10.70-10.80 most of the time.I raced a real A990 Hemi Plymouth in the first round, broke third gear against him. ROY.

K/SA;the Dick Lux,white Comet runs a 4-speed and Gary Williams runs a C-4.It was great to watch them pull out and head to stageing together. It was the first time I had seen Dick's Comet out here in CA. ROY.

  21. I'm glad they got a shot of that. I actually feathered the throtte to get it to return to earth. It was headed for the bumper!! I got one header tube a little, but not bad. I won the round too!! The other guy redlighted. Wheelie bars are going on for this year.....

Ken;that picture of Gary's Comet must be a few years old, look at the NHRA crew shirts,Winston and the Chief Auto Parts signage.I worked on Gary for years to build me a SS engine,he kept talking me out of it because the 65 Comets have a higher HP rating than a 64 and it would be harder to run the numbers.Smart Guy!!!
