    Ken,

    Looks great! Can't wait to cruise around with you guys this summer with the Fairlane, if it's finished. Should be, but quite a bit of work to be done. It would be awesome to thunder around the area with all these FE powered machines!

    You do realize that is a 65 Falcon,not a Comet!! It looks alot like Drake Viscom[spelling?],there are pictures of his Falcon on the Falcon A/FX thread. ROY.

    My fault I put it on here showing the Wheelie bar area for the Armegedon Comet.I always thought it was a pic of Phil Bonners After some mods and a paint refresh.The whellie bars look like Phils.But I'm not sure.

    Ken;have you had any time to work on the 65? I showed the pictures of you and your Father working on it to my friends,they all freaked out!!!!I'm headed to another test-n-tune tomorrow to try and finish setting the clutch. ROY.

    Yep, the rear wheel wells aren't the same and the front suspension is different, and there are several small differences than Phil's car. If I could have my choice of any old race car to find in a barn it would be Phil's '65 car, I followed it everywhere from my living room via Drag News. I was too young and broke to go many places back then. The young part no longer applies but I'm still broke. Troublemaker have you all got any southern trips scheduled this year?

    The original Photo Says its Ron Riley 65 Falcon

    Could be the Mcneeley Falcon,Fuel tank in the right location,Hilborn stacks look right,Maybe?

    Been out of town working.Finally making some progress and now I start working my ass off.Heading for North Dakota Tommorrow.Did Get the headers on, All day job there.Have to give those guys back in the day credit. Fighting that stuff on a daily basis.Good luck on the test and tune .Let me know how it goes.

    Those are the original type and were Comet only seats as the T-Bolts used Bostrum (sp) seats resembling the original factory seats. Comets also had a molded fiberglass insert in place of the rear seat area. Wish I could find one of the FG inserts at an affordable price, I don't think anyone reproduces them.

    Ken;we didn't make the T-N-T,tow vehicle wiring issues!! Check out Frank Kunkel's post on here,B Gas Stude rolls on burnout.He also has a video of me and Phil Featherston and of Tim O'neal's Comet crash.I know you would rather be working on the Comet but I'm sure you are glad to be back driving!!! ROY.

    Excuse my lazyness, it may have been posted before. A friend has traded up a '65 Comet sedan that was a I6 and is going to convert it to V8 and plans to use Granada spindles and disc brakes. The car will see a good bit of Drag Racing use. Can the existing upper and lower control arms be used by changing the ball joints?? If not what else will fit beside the regular '65 Comet-Falcon arms?

    Falconred;he does NOT need to change ball joints!!He needs to either change to V-8 stearing or get tie-rod end adaptors as the 6 steering tie-rod has too small of a taper.ROY

    You know, a straight axle set-up would look right at home under his car as well!!!:D. Think I have a few Econoline set-ups on the rack!!!!

    Hello:

    How "Streetable" would either a tilt or removable front Fiberglass nose be for a 1965 Cyclone A/FX street build? Of course on my 1965 Cyclone the radiator core support and skirts have seen better days.

    1) Has any firm offered an entire one piece Fiberglass front end?

    2) In your opinion can the Crites Fiberglass front end components be configured to a single piece front end?

    3) Provided the battery is relocated to the Trunk can the HEADLIGHTS ect and RADIATOR be operable if a one piece Fiberglass front end was installed?

    4) Notice in the attached pics of how the factory radiator core support and both left and right fender skirts have been removed on both the DDN and JC 1965 Cyclones. I know JC never ran a radiator however do you know if DDN ran a radiator in the final stages of his 1965 Cyclone A/FX car?

    I say just 'cause there's the possibility its never been done does not mean you cannot do it ! I think its totally feasible. I just received my Crite's hood for my B/Fx Comet altered, and I've recently installed crites "race" fenders on a Fairlane. I'm told they make a thicker "street" fender, and I"d get it, because those race ones are thin enough they are opaque!! But, with some ingenuity I think you can pull it off!!

    how long did it take you to get your fenders i ordered mine over 4 weeks ago, the lady that took the order seemed less than interested in me buying from them then said they will need about 6 weeks to build the comet fenders, i havent heard a peep from 'em since. even faxed over a copy of the order and a request for total with shipping the day after our phone call? nothing back as of yet... just wondering if anyone else ran into this with them?.

    Thanks for the replies. I am sorry to report that my friend passed away Saturday and we laid him to rest yesterday. We had an up beat funeral and had a precession of old cars behind the hearse with his '63 1/2 Galaxy leading.

    A tilt front end would be a waste of time unless you changed the front suspension to get rid of the inner structure.If you kept the stock type front suspension the spring towers and the whole inner fender would negate any access.The 65 Comet front end is fairly complex with the way the grill,slash apron and bumper attach to the core support.JMO,ROY.

    I will be going parallel staight axle all the way thus removing all factory coil over spring items. I need to configure a radiator core support to go with Fiberglass front end or build a Fiberglass front end using factory 1965 Comet radiator core support.

    I plan on gutting the wheel wheels on mine except the very top to mount the fender and also keeping the radiator support. kinda like strange bird falcon being built here on the hamb.

    Just got back from N dakota.Just 50 miles from Canada.Looked for mercurys the whole way. Nothing. There just isnt much sitting around anymore.

    Heres that Vid Roy was talking about,The Black 64 c/gas comet that crashed at the march meet.Good job on keeping the shinny side up.
