Maybe you guys can help me. What are the differences between the rear suspension on 64 vs. a 65?

I should know this but I think they are pretty much the same. The major differences are at the cab and forward from there.

65 was the first year for twin I -beam...I can't imagine why they'd change the rear of the frame.......probably the same...except for minor differences....the beds are the same..so the top of the frame should be the same....

That's pretty much what I figured too. However, the year grouping in catalogs change between 64-65. Nobody makes anything for the 65, so I thought I would just use 64 stuff.

    from Medina, Oh

they make plenty for the 65 and 66 trucks. most of the suspension is the same for 66 and 68 ish. I know for sure.

as for rear suspension, the main thing you need to worry about is the leaf width.

you need to do some more research and look at all the manufacturers/distributors out there. the 65 and 66 f-100's popularity (and therefore part availability) has gained tremendously over the last few years.
