64 comet front torque box

    Hi i have a 64 comet sedan in need of front torque boxes does anyone know if you can buy some or the specs on making some or know what other model boxes that will fit this car like the mustang boxes with some fab

    As of now,nobody is making any reproductions.Most people make as close a copy off of their old crusty ones!65/66 Mustangs are shaped quite a bit different. ROY.

    Dad made some for my uncle. Just copied the original like said. He opted to go with a heavier gage steel. Not really hard to copy everything is square.

    William;I talked to some Comet Friends,they said to just make your own,if you don't feel up to it then 65/66 Mustang ones come in 3 pieces and could be made to work. ROY.

    If those are the same as the 64 Fairlanes, i know a guy who might have a pristine set he wants to sell.

    to my knowledge the fairlane ones are different *** well. Seems the torque boxes are one of the first places to go since the cowl usually get filled with ****, when we cut an access panel into my p***enger side, youd be surprised how much builds up in there...Thankfully my car was solid everywhere

    I guess when i finish with this i will know alot about sheetmetal this is my first hotrod build so i hope u guys wont mind me asking alot of questions i pick a great car you dont see alot of them around that what makes it so nice
