20240201_112451.jpg Not sure if I'm in the right forum.
    Would like an opinion:
Which of two would be worth the time , cost of parts and overall value in investing money into restoring .
    My 1964 Ranchero: Has inline 6 200, c4 ****** needs flex plate, 4 lug.
Or a 1968 4 dr Vista Cruiser, needs 350 engine to be put back in it along with interior parts
I'd do the body work and paint.
    Thanks , RB

  2. First, the '68 wagon is too new for this forum; it's cut off at '65. With that said, the Ranchero will likely have a deeper parts well as well as being more popular in the event of sale later. Wagons have their proponents, but not as many.

The Falcon would be a nice street car, especially with a hopped-up six and a T5 trans swap.

If you're going into this looking to make money, stop right now...

I would put a flexplate in the Ranchero. I think you will find you need a ring gear. Isn't the ring gear welded to the torque converter on those?
Then I would use it to pick up the parts for the Vista Cruiser. But I never talk about it here
