NY has an "obstruction of vision" law that a cop can give you shit for blowers, injector stacks, hood scoops, etc., even those fuzzy dice hanging from your mirror if he/she wanted to be a prick.

As far as windshield height???? I wouldn't push it in NY, they're broke and look for anything they can make a buck on.

 

I had 7" of windshield....mounted 2" lower than the cowl. Not very useful but it looked cool!

 

That's not a windshield. That's a tiny bug screen.
