Hey everyone I'm once again back here asking for some advice from the guys with all the knowledge. I had an idea a couple months back to throw a NV2500 or NV3500 in my 65' shortbed but I realized there was a lot more going into this project. I was curios if anyone else has done this or has any idea To my knowledge I know that the driveshaft needs shortening, a slave cylinder needs to be installed, the tranny tunnel has to be modified, and holes need to be cut into the floor of the truck, as well as a new tranny
The NV3500 uses an internal slave cylinder, so you would "only" need a reservoir up top, so to speak. While this applies to T5 transmissions, much of it is applicable to the later NV3500: https://lugnutz65chevystepside.weebly.com/t5-info-page.html More here, too: https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/gm-nv3500-5-speed.661090/
