Hey Scott. Here's the cam card. Flat solid. Hoping for something stout enough to be fun but stay together and not scare the **** out of him. Can always step up on heads carb cam headers when he really gets a taste for the dope

That looks like you will need a fare amount of stall for this.

 

That's a damn bit more stout than I expected![emoji16]
Somehow,I had it in my head that y'all had some dinky little 230@.050/.512" cam in that Windsor that was gonna fall on its face around 5800rpm,downhill,with a tailwind,but that right there is pretty close to the old Ford "LeMans" flat tappet grind,but with a touch more lift,and a bit longer duration on the exhaust side.
That little ******* will make some R's,and the 106 lobe separation warms my heart[emoji16].
That thing should pull like a freight train through the upper/mid revs with that cam.
You guys will have some fun!

I agree with James....a looser convertor would wake it up on the leave,but I don't want hotdog to leave TOO good....I need to have a fightin' chance against SOMEBODY this year![emoji851]

Nope stock stroke.

 

You'll have more than a fighting chance. If this ratty rust bucket hooks it'll probably fall apart by the 60' mark.

Just to get it running. It's the shelf distributor. Will eventually get a pro billet knockoff and a 6al. Funds tight now.

 

MSD. My experience with them cheap *** HEI has not been good.

I hear ya Bob. The HEI we were using looked a lot like that one. And our experience hasn’t been good. Upgrading this season to a MSD.

Way things are going riff raff ain't gonna get more than a few drops of oil on the hamster wheel before meltdowns. Time for a new trans and converter in tow rig. ******* they're expensive!

 

Well it's back in the shop for wiring plumbing etc. new hood from crites is gonna be a nice addition
