You really need to post an intro if you expect to get an answer, and second, do a search on here for "comet gasser", you'll see....... Good luck

Me and Cometman are starting one next week. We pulled the car in the shop last night and de-bugged it w/ the vacum cleaner. This one's going to be an econo-quicky w/ a Speedway kit. The only changes I'm making is to replace axle perches and use real U-bolts w/ a bottom plate. I don't trust the standard spring perches. The axle width were using is on 46 inch centers w/an early Ford spindle kit. It looks like we can retain the stock front motor mounts even after we remove the shock towers. All we have to do is some creative gussetting. Were going use the stock steering, just fab up a new pitman arm and cross steer it. Cometman knows how to post pictures so hopefully we can get a thread going. After looking at the car last night it looks like a very simple swap. We lucked out and found some positive offset American 7" wheels,so it looks like a set of 8.5" cheater slicks will bolt on with only some frontal work on the outer wheel well. I hope that gives you some info you needed.
