Looks like they may have some Mopar clips that may work, will have to get some dimensions off of them. Thanks for the link!

You will find Ford and Chrysler in the 50's and 60's used much of the same clips. If you call them they also have lots of discontinued stuff not on their website or catalog. Kevin
We did contact Restoration specialties, and were told that they did not have them nor did anyone else that they knew of. He said the biggest issue is that they have never had the stainless off of one to correctly size the clips. So we are likely going to ship him samples of the clips that came off, and the side trim from the car so they can figure out what sizes are needed, where they can either substitute ones they already have or have some made to fit. So it's in the works, but may be a few months. I'll have to update this post when (if) we get it resolved.

For all the Fairlane guys, we did just get our order from Restoration Specialties, but haven't had a chance to go thru everything yet. (still wet sanding) Hope to have a report posted by early next week.
Speaking of clips. How does one the the chrome trim (or stainless) off of the clips when one is taking the piece off without boogerin' things up?
I have only had a few pieces off of mine but when I did I unbolted the clip from the inside the door and fender and then slid the clip off the trim. If I remember correctly some slide to a spot where it is wide enough to slip them off and others just side off the end, depending on what piece you are working with.
It was originally slated to be set up as a street rod with a small block and AOD, but the owner has had a history at the race track, and one weekend back at the races changed the direction of the build. He did have a full tube chassis built and it has been NHRA certified. It started as an apparently fairly solid car, but a musty smell inside gave advance notice of things to come. After some media blasting we did have some issues show their face. I'm told this is common on these cars, the fit on the driver's side is perfect, and the passenger side....not. After some slicing, bumping, and welding: The entire rear edge of the trunk weatherstrip channel was pitted from side to side, so some replacement corners were obtained. One corner was virtually flawless, but the other needed repairs. The top of the tail light panel was fabricated in three pieces 17" long. Repairs needed for the driver's side: Lower driver's quarter: Rear window channel repair: Repaired front of both sail panels and fabricated replacement gutters: Had clearance issue with the Crites teardrop hood, so a lift kit was installed: Now we're getting into painting the loose body panels and finishing strightening work on the body. Nothing yet on the moulding clips, but do have a project update. Got some painting done this evening, White sealer, Viper red base, and a couple coats of clear. Will let this sit for a few days and then get it prepped for spraying the outsides.
Here's some shots in the sunlight this morning. I guess his pit crew will need standard issue sunglasses
Been a while since I posted on these, had quite a few problem areas on the body needing fixing. As we are starting to re-assemble the Fairlane, I'll update here on the molding clips as we go. The plastic clips for the moulding at the top of the quarter worked well, here's the install and pn: Here's some of the stainless after install. They did not have plastic clips (as per factory original) for the rear quarter side moulding, so we just used the metal spring-type clips with the stud on them. Didn't get pics of them today, but I'll see if I can get them tomorrow. We had polished up the original stainless and got most of the major dings out, really looks nice against the red. Still need to polish the aluminum trim around the rear window and Zoops that as well. The owner's not installing the wipers, so we found some chrome bolts and polished up some stainless washers to fill in the holes.
