great car..i love those awb pontiacs. hilborns are great but there are alot of blower combos out there for pontiac power. that bbc would look great in a 64-65 chevelle. i need a bathtub intake for my big car.
That thing looks great, and I understand about the Chevy engine, you need the injection and for a Pontiac its almost impossible to find for a unit price that is realistic in price. Keep us updated it looks just right. Jon Tomkins
If you do ever want to go injected Pontiac, Algon made quite a few of them, actually its one of the most common ones I've found while hunting parts. Its not hard to adapt different year intakes either since the port spacing is the same and its just a flat plate to begin with. There is also 55-60 Hilborn in the classifieds. Anyway that is just an awesome car, I've always wanted to get around to building a similar one and its not likely that will happen so its really cool to see someone build one like this. The original Zombie ran a big Chevy too, the baddest damn car I've ever seen at any Pontiac meet was sadly Chevy powered. No one really cared what powered it though when that thing was heading right for the wall at Norwalk, the guy drove it out nearly scraping the center barrier and still beat the Tameless Tiger in an exhibition run.
Mr. Rich, That is a tough mother!!! The guy that owns the Suiciede King AWB Studebaker, Bill Bierman is going to do one of those over the winter to match race agains his Stude. Rich , you are the AWB king. How many cars have you done?
That Studebaker is so cool I can't believe it. It's awesome when you see a car that makes you jealous. I built quite a few but I don't entirely remember how many, 15?
Nice build!!! With that weak Chevy power will have to match race when it's done!!!LOL Here's ours along with the AWB Falcon were building.
