I bought the entire interior out a 66 TBird today and am sure I can install the front bucket without much problem. Wondering if anybody had ever tried installing the back seat? Seem like it would be neat to have front and back seat out of the TBird in my car. Ralph
Ralph, I'm interested in doing the same exact thing. A guy named Richard Couvillon in Louisiana seemed positive that that interior will fit a 1954 Ford. I'm pretty sure he said the back seat has to be narrowed a bit, but the modification was minimal. That's a good score on that '66 interior. I've had my eyes on Craigslist for many months here in Dallas for tbird interiors, and they don't seem to come up often. I'm tempted to buy a whole tbird just to get that killer interior, but my wife would definitely shoot me.
I can't see any reason why you couldn't although I would think you will have to do some modifications. HRP
I can see what appears to be the back seat in 50Fraud's car, hope I can have a conversation with him about the install. The seats in the interior, I bought, are in great shape and the right color for my car. Just need to work out the back seat and door panels.
Tony (50Fraud) is a good guy. I talked with him at the GNRS about his 40 convertible which was there.
Bringing this thread back up in hopes that someone has already figured out how to mount the rear seats in a 55 to save my dad and I a little time.
