I know there have been several of these trucks built on the Hamb. I just got my inner door bottom patch panels from a local supplier and they arent even close. The embossed bead on my patch panels are almost twice the width of my original doors. I was wondering if anyone has used a quality replacement and where I should order some new ones from. Thanks, Brandon
How rotted are the doors? This may sound simplistic, but I always try to use as little of a patch panel as I can--sometimes people feel like they need to use all of the patch panel to "get their money's worth." Can you cut somewhere south of the bead and keep the original bead, and use just enough patch panel to repair the damage? I'm guessing you're talking about the bead on the interior of the door, below the removable door panel. -Brad
Yea Im actually debating that. Mine are beat up down there, but I have been learning to use the hammer and dolly so I might see what I can do with them. Only the very bottoms are actually rotted.
Well, I found out that the embossed part is actually the least of my problems, everything else on them is terrible. They are awful. Im on my way to return them right now and I think Im going to order new ones from Brothers because I have heard good things about theirs.
I would like to hear how the Brothers panels look when you get them. I have a 62 that is going to need to the same peices.
