I just about have my 67 Plymouth Belvedere II wagon back on the road after sitting for a little short of 15 yrs. The car was purchased by my mom with factory 318 and 95,000 miles for $175 back in 95 or so being told "motor is blown" well it was just a loose driveshaft. Car has sat since then and she decided she would probably never do anything with it so being a great son i agreed to take it of here hands free of charge. Thats where the fun began,we all know what kind of a douching old cars need when they sit for years with gas, water and oil in em. After struggling with an overheating issue for a bit while trying to get it on the road i pulled water pump to find the right side passage completely plugged with corroded calcified dirt embedded goop of some sort and timing cover was completely rotted away inside. Needless to say timing cover was replaced. Long story short timing cover, new hoses, carb rebuild, tank sealing, new sending unit, temp switch, belts, fuel pump, alternator, radiator flush, spark plug, pan gasket, pressure washing and about three cans of rattle can chevy orange engine paint later! All i have to do now is change rear gear oil and put some non cracked descent tires on here and she is ready to get on the road again.
Sorry poverty, go ahead and post pics of your dodge. Dont think anyone one here is going to bitch about seeing a clean old beast......or will they=) lol. Yeah i am a new daddy so looking forward to the family wagon
