Is it possible, and is it stupid? Anyone have any step by steps or anything on this?

  2. ...I've done this swap a few times on a 49 & 51 Chevs, I used the drum-brake clips as they fit really nice. What I suggest doing is lapping the 2 frames-the Nova rear arms go under the orig, frame- about a foot or so. These box section Chevy frames aren't very thick metal, so lapping them makes a better joint.

Are 67- 68-69 camaro clips the same ? I can pick one up really close for about a $100 complete. Thought about getting it for maybe a future project on my 49 chevy.

Before all the bashing begins I'll offer my experience. First, the NOVA and CAMARO clips are the same. Here are the problems I see...The rear steer creates problems with hooking up the steering column. It's too close to the firewall. Forget a power steering box. I have a NOVA/CAMARO clip on my '55 CHEVY. I had to use a double universal joint to make it work. It works perfectly but I'm just sayin! Next problem, they're a little too wide. I narrowed my a- arms an inch per side. All ended up well but I think there are other alternatives which may work better. These being 78-82 CHEVELLE/MONTECARLO/REGAL/CUTLASS. Front steer, but now the box is in the way of the radiator. I THINK the track width is closer to your car. Finally, we have the S-10 clip. Really narrow but works well if you want the car to be low, low, low !Again with the steering in the way of the radiator. There's a whole huge thread on S-10 clips on here. Then we have the M II stuff...Truthfully, I've read soo many opinions that I don't know what I wanna do on my '50 fastback! Those are your immediate problems, armed with that info and your parts availability, pick one and work through it !
