I’m not planning to try to get the wagon. If someone is interested, send me a message and I can likely either help you work a deal or get you a phone number at minimum.

  2. Late to the party. Back approx 35 years ago I bought a 67 Sport Fury convertible. 383 and I think was 4 barrel. Only had windshield and two door windows. No rear window in the folding top or rear quarter windows. Kind of a beater, but it was fun cruising with top down. Like driving a brick with a windshield, given the flat panels. Living in socal at the time, it was a drive to beach or run to Mexico party car. Fill it with Mexican gas when down across the border. The 383 never missed a beat. Ended up selling it as it wasn't my real desire to fix it up.

That big old wagon would be a similar good party car and highway cruiser.

  3. If you didn't live in Oklahoma which would be cost prohibitive for me to come and get it I would drive that you know what out of that car...
I love full size American cars from the 1950s through '70s... Most of them are nice driving cars although some of the ones in the 1960s from my experience have absolutely terrible brakes that were way to small for the car but that is easily fixable with 1970s disc brake swaps.

Yeah the gas mileage sucks but so does my off OT Hemi trailer hauler, is a 1967 to 1978 C body worth a lot? The answer is probably not but they really are fun cars I used to drive my 67 Plymouth More door Fury everywhere it was an excellent cruiser even if the 383 gave it a solid 12 miles a gallon, I put it on a set of 17 inch polished torque thrust wheels and that car screamed fun.
This is a picture of it before I sold it 6 or 7 years ago, I sold it to a nice young guy that lived in San Fernando valley that unfortunately he was not a good driver and apparently he ran a stop sign and hit a car and because he did not put it in his name the tow yard that impounded it wanted me to pick it up... I convinced girl at the counter to send me a picture (so I didn't have to drive 80 miles) of the car and he boogered it up pretty bad so I did not go and get it and I made sure that they understood I did not own the car anymore but that's another story.
Anyways Mopar full size cars are bitchen especially the long roofs.

We just had a bee hive removed from our garage. $900
As you can see from my avatar, I love a big CBody . I’m surprised you don’t see the big wagon as a “bee removal” car. The two guys that got our bees had a 90’s ford pickup and the bed was full of the bee vacuum, bee boxes, bee suits and construction tools.

Man its taking every ounce of restraint I have not to call you on that thing.
Tell me its worse than it looks im the pics. Rusted out floors, locked up motor, bondo on every panel. Hard to get to & priced way to high.
    Please...

I would say the pics show it as-is. I didn’t crawl under it to check out the floor pans. It is full of crap. Engine turns over and should run easy enough. Easy to get to but down a few miles of gravel road. Guessing it could be bought right. Yea…I’m a bad influence. :D

Ive really gotta sleep on this one for a night. Temptation is a bitch.

Okay fellow HAMBER'S, prepare yourself to drool and be envious and all of the emotions that apply when you see this particular rare, one year only, cool kick ass rig.

My good friend R.Turner, here in the Pacific Northwest, is a well known hot rodder and owner of a huge fleet of amazing machines. Everything that you can imagine, except aircraft, seems to find R.Turner's huge piece of property one way or another.

I as a fellow eccentric, can and do appreciate his tenacity, to stick with it, and literally out bid the other person that wants it. Turners wife was the inspiration to obtain this rig for 25K and keep it from winding up in Sweden.

It was originally a California car, from a region that was known to not have a lot of rainfall, and it was cared for by the people that used to own it.
The car is rust free and in excellent condition!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"O'MEARA" is the name of the dealership, where it was originally purchased from, and as you see the pictures here, from the party I attended yesterday, as R.Turner said, the paint appears to be the original paint.
We all jaw dropped when Turner came rolling in, in this amazing rig.

I post these pictures here, to be an inspiration, for all that have seen the pictures of the 68 Polara wagon, to "PLEASE" get someone, somewhere in this nation, to man up and go get that wagon and save it.

    Every ones results may vary!
    Thanks from Dennis.

IMG_2481.jpeg Does the left front fender have a bullet hole about 10:00 from the Polara script ?

I do think that might have been from a shot. Can’t remember if it was a hole or just a sharp dent.

I totally agree with you about those particular wheels. I asked Turner about that, those are the wheels that were on it when he bought it.
It will be interesting to see if he will put stock wheels on it with the correct wheel covers!
I will do my best to try convince him to do that!
    Thanks from Dennis.

Reminds me of the one Freiburger had on Roadkill, his was a 68 Chrysler with a 440. Great cars, that Polara wagon would be a fun build, especially with the big block. A set of Keystone Klassics Would set it off too.

@Lone Star Mopar since your in Oklahoma all the time anyway, might as well bring it home
With you ;-) It would make a great cruiser and parts hauler.

I missed that episode of roadkill with the wagon, I will have to go find it on YouTube.
Yesterday I was out visiting my friend, who has a great collection of cars and trucks. I didn't know, that he now owns the wagon that Freiburger used in that episode.

Its the car under the tarp, on the other side of the kick ass 1960 Ford Country Sedan wagon, with the can on either the intake for air or the vertical exhaust stack.
    Thanks from Dennis.

    Hey @Lone Star Mopar
    Howdy from Dennis in Seattle.
Just curious how the progress is coming along, on the retrieval of that cool, kick ass "MOPAR" wagon?
I hope all is going well with your efforts.
    Thanks from Dennis.

Dennis, I spoke w Jeff recently & decided to pass on the wagon.
I've got 7 old cars and a few bikes already. In a moment of weakness I reluctantly had to make an adult decision.

I totally understand the adult decision, been there did that!
I truly do hope, that the wagon will catch someone's eye, and see it for what it is and what it can be, hopefully soon, before a tornado or a big hale storm or both, beat it into the ground!
Thanks from Dennis for the reply!
