My truck was originally 6V. I converted it to 12V and stuck a cheapo, small, Chinese 12v radio/amp of the sort you can find all over eBay and Amazon in the glovebox to power the speaker in the dashboard. Now, a friend is putting together a pre-war truck but he is keeping it 6V. I have been unable to find a 6V version of these radio/amps. Is there one available or is there an easy solution to get 12V to it from the 6V system? Here's a picture of the type of unit I am talking about.

Just use a 6v to 12v step-up converter [cheap on aliexpress]

You can get a 10a version which is good for 120w output
And pair this with a Nobsound NS-10G pro [cheap] which is a 50w x 2 channel amp
The Nobsound defaults to bluetooth [from your phone] or you can plug in a 3.5mm Audio Jack from another source.
I had one in my 57 chevy and have 3 of them in my house [powering hidden soundbar stereo setups]

I did a install thread back in 2019 about this
