I would like see some more pictures and would like to know which company made the 6x2 Intakes for SBCs: How hard are they to find - and what to they regularly go for $$???

Like this - the non-"Log" style. They look like a regular intake but with 6 2's and the carbs are lined up pretty close.

I like savagespeeds new blower tops 6x2 for 6-71/8-71 But for some reason I have it in my head that it would look cooler with the carbs more lined up instead of offset - maybe it's just me. Did anyone make a blower top like SavageSpeeds but with the carbs lined up instead of offset?

Anybody run these Progressively??? - (i.e. the center 2 for idle - outboard 4 for the "GO")
I'd like to build a stout SBC - of the 427 variety or so - but love multi-carbs - I don't think a Progressive 3 would be enough.
I wouldn't mind having something like D.W.'s Blown SBC - but with 3 or 6 Dueces on top.

Anybody know who owns this: and if that is a "Homemade Blower Top"????? - wonder how it runs like that? - I guess you don't really need a "well designed" intake when your force feeding the motor huh???

That is exactly what I was looking for

Who made that linkage? I REALLY like that linkage!

  16. here is one I am working on - I am doing the progressive linakge - 4 for go like you said. I can't wait!

that ho - made set up on the black coupe is WICKED - I can't see how that started as moon valve covers AT ALL - well maybe a little - but the fins look so good all the eay around - hard to see any seams and hard to figure out how they did that

I love the idea and the 6x2 on the blower. This product of Savage's is what got me thinking about this. -

BUT I'm not sure that I like the "Staggard Mounting" I know it was done to keep the intake small and not cover up the blower - but me likes things lined up nice nice.

  18. Offy makes a 6x2 intake where the carbs are lined up. I'm doing one right now for a customer. Not a blower top though....

Let me know if you're interested??

    Offy Part Number #3924

Any one have any pictures of one without the carberators on it??? I did a search on the HAMB - but the picture was from the backside looking @ the intake level. I'd like to see a top shot if possible. The Offy Catalog has a picture but it is hard to see.

Anyone have one on thier car? - how's it run?????/how hard are they to get to run right? and how do you have the progressive linkage set up? 4 outboards for the mains or 2 inboards for the mains?

8x2's are lined up, Savage had/has one on his coupe with 6x2's lined up, and the pink car looks like it's another homebuilt top.

Here is an X1 Mikey just brought over from his Uncle's sprint car from the sixties. Hoping to have it on the coupe and ready for the HAMB Drags.

Well I PM'd Savage about the one on his coupe - it's actually a 4-71 Blower and the intake is SUPER RARE - he said he's only seen a couple EVER.

So who's made thier own Multi Set-Up for a Blower and how did you do it???

    And how does it run???

I have an x-1 that i scored really reasonable a few years back...Somebody had one in the classifieds listed that was in really nice shape and priced right too that never sold for whatever reason...Maybe he will see this post and contact you cause i cant remember who was selling it plus how it was listed in the classifieds...It was one of those deals were a bunch of stuff was listed...Also, Tony on here has one of those blower tops from Savage that he needs to sell asap cause somethings came up unexpected...Hit'em up and maybe you guys can work something out!

I have a McGirk and it's like new. I found that because of the float bowls, you have to use 97s instead of Holley 94s. I had quite a few 94s, which I have now given away and went ahead and put dual quads on my car. I just can't justify putting $1200 worth of ancient carbs on a driver, just for the look. Just my two cents worth.

I run all six of my 94's, all twelve butterflies open at the same time, straight linkage..It does not foul plugs, has zero hesitation,I drive it to work, I drive it when its wicked hot out and have drag raced the hell out of it..............the 4.88 in the rear hurt the gas consuption, it will drive anywhere you point it...but you better have some full fuel jugs with you...........They will only work as well as the time you are willing to put towards them....................Mine are not for looks but full function and does scoot quite well........But when I started out it hesitated it fouled plugs it will piss you off even, you just have to stay with it and not let it win..........Littleman...........
