6x2 with chokes?

I am using an original 63 or 64 max wedge choke cable "2 into 1" I am told they are avail as reproduction, simple cable, plenty long and simple clamp brackets. however, mine starts w/o chokes, every time even cold (down to 30 degrees) 327 w/six 94's ,eelco progressive. (pics are, unfortunatly, before cable install.
