History 70 year old parts store closed

Leaverton auto here in st joe has closed its doors after 70 years of business... they always had people who knew what i wanted even if the motor didnt belong in the car.. they never gave you that crazy look when they had to get out the book and look something up like the chain stores do.... sad sad days.... here is a link http://stjoenews.net/news/2009/jan/06/after-70-years-leavertons-closes-doors-its-st-joe-/

 

There's still some of us out there working the counter. Don't give up hope. My biggest problem is the manufacturers dropping old part numbers right & left, so even though I know exactly what a guy needs, I can no longer get my hands on it.

Called them, and they said that most everything had been gotten rid of, and there was no plans for an auction so far.
