    Probably a good buy, if not rebuild-able you should easily be able to get your money back. A good distributor will bring more than $300.00 by itself.
     
  2. Just the weight in scrap locally, a dead 702 is worth about $180.00.

    When I was a kid dad had a 62 gmc 3/4 ton...Custom Cab 305 V6/ 4spd hydrimatic/PS/PB/ big back window/ deluxe heater. 410s posetraction nice truck, vaaum gauge in the dash,...green, sold in the Renton Highlands in the early 70s without a tail gate any imfooplease pm me

    When I was growing up on the farm in SE Iowa in the late 60's to early 70's the grain elevator had a big gmc truck with a corn sheller mounted on it. It ran one of those v6's. They were rode hard and put away wet. I don't think they broke down too often. The engine would run at about 2500-3000 rpm when all the drives were engaged shelling ear corn.

    Have you seen the video of them driving this around the track at the Showdown? Its' a hoot, they hit the mudpuddle with the windshield open and you'll actually taste the mud as it comes thru! Indescribable.
