Anyone know the proper bolt size for the flex plate to the crank on '74 caddy 500?

Also if you know, the bolt size for the torque converter to the flex plate.

    I appreciate it.

We put a rebuilt 400 and new torque converter on a 472, and the stock TC bolts bottomed out before tightening the flex plate to the TC. It caused a knock when starting up the engine. Put in shorter then stock bolts and no knock. So it depends on what torque converter you are using as to what bolts to use.

According to old GM parts catalogues '76 Cad 500 shows 7/16-20 x 9/16 bolts to the crank and converter bolts might be 3/8-16 x .59".

My advice on these would be to go to a parts store which has a mr. gasket selection, like Autozone or O'riellys and buy a set for a sbc. They are the same. Finding the same even at a bolt supplier is going to be tough as these need to be a reduced thickness head and a grade eight bolt. Googling showed the part number to be 6710.
