'74 C4 tranny question...

I'm trying to help out a buddy of mine here, can you guys help?
Is there suppose to be a filter gasket on a 1974 C4 ******? His had one when he opened it up but the local parts hut says there isn't one availible.

I think '70? Shouldn't be hard to find, Google it, probably a ****-ton of places to get them.

 

There were like 3 different variations of the filter on C4's. I remember having a time finding the right one for mine and one wasn't available. (From a local parts store, same as you.) Hunt around on the interwebs, thats what they are here for, I'm sure you'll find it. And now as I remember, I think one variation was just a mesh screen that you cleaned and reinstalled, that may be what I ended up doing.
