Okay folks, I will be there family free this year, shooting coverage again and I want to do it up right! Would be cool to link up with as many h.a.m.b.ers as I can! It sounds like it will be a fairly incredible year. I want to hit the open houses and after parties and view all the collections big and small. If anyone wants to link up for a beer or a taco or needs to carpool let me know!

  2. I plan to be at the GNRS on Friday.
Looking forward to seeing the display of former AMBR winners.

  3. F'k! I would love to be at the 75th GNRS to see the past winners... a dream! but with my health and sheer terror of flying not looking good, will be an epic event with the former winners on show, :(:(

NHRA Museum is a must when at the Fairplex for GNRS

    Shops:
    Stokers Hot Rods
    Kennedy Bros.
    Early Ford Store San Dimas
    So-Cal Speed Shop

Walden's might again have a shop party, if they do it is a must.

  4. I made my reservations last week. I can't wait!

I did early ford store this year...to us out of towners it almost feels like a pilgrimmage! Gotta buy at least 1 part while there too! I think waldens and luckys did a blended party this year, I stopped by, it was fun but rushed cause the family was back at the air b&b mostly looking forward to being able to take my time! Especially when I am takimg pics and video I can take 5-10 min per car easily and I like to eyeball all the subtle details. When the mrs and all the kids are with me again...feels rushed. I love em all to death but this ones gonna be a lot of fun!

Is there any other events on anywhere at all that folks can combine with ? Winter is pretty eventless. We will be in summer down under.

Considering it. Does anyone know of a hotel nearby that has secure trailer parking? Or a camp ground with showers?

I see online they have trailer storage on site that is locked and inaccessible over the weekend. That would work for me. Stick my PU in the suede palace and drive my Silverado all weekend.

  19. I am half tempted/thinking of attending been waiting 10 years for the 75th would suck to miss it will decide in late October

Having never attended, what is the schedule? If I am showing a car in the suede palace, when is the move in day? When is move out? I need to know to book a room.

There are 2 setup days before spectators enter I believe. Best bet is reaching out to GNRS via their website or facebook page for more details

I got the move in and move out figured out. I also sent in my registration form. I need a hotel. Recommendations nearby, with a roof top bar preferably.

Hey, Billy I lived close enough to drive home but 1 year me and some friends got a hotel just to have fun. It was exciting to say the least. As soon as we rolled in, there was dudes getting arrested and the rest of the night hookers going in and out. We just sat on the porch. Watching it all happen all night. Fine entertainment. Also, claw marks on the inside of the doors trying to get out LOL. I would recommend
The Sheridan hotell I believe it's on the property. Next to the n h r a museum

  27. I'm going to drag this back up. My wife who has never been to LA would like to go to the show for her birthday. I've been to LA twice and visited the Nethercutt, Petersen (twice), Bob's in Downey on car night and hit some parking lot shows . The wife wants to go to Nethercutt so that is most of one weekend day taken up. Our time there is limited to Thursday afternoon travel to LA and Sunday evening back home. A few question from a guy 2200 miles away;

How many days at the GNRS show to see it all? Is that even possible in three?
If you had only one day which of the three would you go on?
Is the NHRA museum a must see while there?
Evening shop tours sounds great, where would that be listed/promoted?

Any other bits of knowledge appreciated

  28. Looks like my coupe will be in a vendor space in the suede palace so I will be there pretty much the entire time.

  29. I like going to GNRS on Friday. There are less spectators clogging the aisles.
However, the Friday evening ride back to Palm Springs is SLOW.
