76 c.c 2.02/1.60 heads any good ?

  1. I know the 76cc's are big for most but are these heads worth picking up.I know of a set that the guy wants 100 bucks for and they are suposed to have a fresh valve job but stock springs on them.
    I'm currently running a set of 76 cc's but 1.94's that were cut 30 thou. with a 9-1 piston.

For a hundy, hell yeah. They're worth 2-5x that as bartering material depending on which casting code they are, and how they present.

For putting on your engine chasing power, probably not worthwhile as the low compression 76cc heads were generally all pretty sucky in terms of flow. And on some castings, installing larger valves doesn't really help unless there's porting to match.

If you're chasing power, that's probably the way to go. Porting. Buy the heads and then either port them yourself or have a pro do a couple hundy worth of porting. Now the power gain is worth the hassle swapping.

    good luck
