I have been searching and I can not seem to find the height of a 8.75R16.5 tire. need the height to figure rear gear for my 59 ford f-100. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Fenderless
Eight and three quarters of an inch. Thats the sidewall height. Plus 16.5= wheel diameter, then another 8.75... So two sidewalls = 17.5+wheel.
Probably, if you look hard enough. But thats not what I'm after. I should have given more info. I put an engine out of a very low mile mini motor home in my f-100, the previous owner of the camper (my father) said that the camper got tremendous fuel milage. The rear end under the camper has a 4.11 gear under it. I don't think?? I need to go that low in this little pickup, maybe a 3.73?? I was hoping to keep about the same revs with the exception of a little more speed. As far as the f-100 goes, I would like to have a little rubber rake to it, so I thought maybe close to the same size (height) of tire, except in 15 inch tires for the f-100. Fenderless
