Technical 8.8 Rear Diff - How Tough?

    The C clip eliminator kit is only needed for NHRA, IF your 8.8" has drum brakes. Disc brakes work to hold axles in should they break, so not needed if you bought an 8.8" disc brake rear axle.

    If you Google 8.8 Ford rearends, there is a lot of information online. From what I have heard they are nice strong rearends.

    I have 2019 truck 8.8 with electric locker and it is great. Look for Explorer AWD models equipped with the Terrain Management System.
