Hello fellow "traditional" Hot Rodders! I am joining as a representative of the Hot Rod Straight 8 Buick community (although its a small comunity). I have been searching for a site for "people like us" for a while. And what a perfect site it is indeed! I'll tell ya a bit about myself. I am the very proud owner of a 1953 buick three holer. The last year and model with the straight 8. After going to countless car shows (half of which I spent sitting on my dads shoulders as he walked around) I have grown to appreciate the unique, the odd, and the sometimes ugly. I am now 27 and those appreciations have carried on through the years. This is probably why I have decided to keep the straight 8 in the car instead of going the easy route. I work for a custom and high performance engine builder so I am lucky to have all the resources at my disposal to try and improve the 8 as much as possible. To a certain extent at least..... Im sure one could go a little overboard (some would argue I already have). So thats my story so far. The rest of the car I am keeping as-is. I like the patina it has. Adds character. I hope to be chatting with some of you soon. I really hope to learn alot and to maybe even help a few of you out in the proccess. 8 in-a-row
