There's allot more where that came from. I feel better when I see the prices for these buggers lately. This cab really should of been a rat rod but I'm not in to that and do we need kill any more of these guys. Oh an unlike some who generically throw around 32 when they have this body style, mine is at least really a 32. It may not be a Tudor(which I want), a more-door, a Cabriolet, a 5w, a 3w(Larry it has no fenders), or a Roadster, there has to be some "Grail" trickle down effect right?

Too bad you can't find the roof off a 33. Would save you a great deal of work.

Actually I want to run my "early" 32 roof because the late 32 and up to 34 have a belt line type bulge just aft of the visor which I can't stand. They also implemented a screw on each side where it attaches to the pillar. I will be taking my roof off to repair this area(seems some one did a nasty weld repair there in its past) and replace it's rear mounting flange completely plus do body work on the inside. I probably won't have a headliner and after I repair the top side there will be some ugliness that I don't want to see after painting the inside of the cab.

    I'm pretty damn giddy today!
(This is @Dennis Lacey 's fault)

My 32 spindles showed up today. They're pretty darn ruff too, just the way I like'm.
Gonna take them, my dash, windshield frame and firewall to get blasted. Then get to work on that stuff.
I've also been kicking around going with dual quads on a low or medium rise intake now. Ditching my Holley 950 and Huge! Parker intake is going to give up some power. I just can't get over how wrong they were going to look under the hood. These were items meant for the engine long before I began to make building a Traditional Hot Rod a reality. If you haven't followed this thread I want to remind folks that I'm shooting for a look of a 50s build re powered in the 60s with a roundyround engine.

32-34 spindles are nice. I have a set on my 34 done up for side steer.

Side steer the only way to me, especially on a truck.

Sometimes you have to make concessions. I'm not going to bother stating how pricey these Blue Thunder intakes cost.[emoji22]

If you are running a 302 look real close at an Efi lower intake. An aluminum plate and some 300 six carbs and you can have one cool looking tri power

Yeah I saw one in a really old post here at the HAMB, way cool, I have a ported gt40 laying around too.
But I really want the look of say a good ol'boy who spent some time in a 60's stock car garage got a bright idea one evening to replace his maxed out flatty with modern power to help his "nightly runs", get it?

    Yup for sure!
Every build needs a theme. Or else it just turns into a random pile of shit.

Yeah I already got Holman Moody valve cover decals and a 289(my motor is a 342)high performance sticker for the sheet metal top I'll fab, it's all in the details.
Oh I forgot to mention I love your engine!

Cool! I built and still have a 60's style dressed 5.0 destroked to 293 I built for my old chopped shoebox. Torker intake, five fin covers, dripping chrome and all! and a measly 400hp inside.

So I had forgot when I did my winter time temporary mock up that I found this miss calculation...
    ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1436380074.084239.jpg
So I new would have to re-cut them to length at put the bungs back in with room for adjustment. My F1 axle is roughly 2" thick before it is to be finished off at the perches. The 37-41 bones have a huge top boss which is part of the problem with my springs clearance between the axle.
    ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1436380318.238093.jpg
I would like to now switch to earlier rods with the more petite perch ends. If they would be for a 2" axle that would be even better. I'll save these for my other 37 axle and spindles on the wall intended for "bones style" setup for my next build. Could some one tell me if A wishbones are for 2" axles?
Oh and I noticed that my fresh mounted tire lost its tape weight through the winter sitting, I've never seen that happen.

Those wishbone mounts are pretty slick! What are they off of?

They are cut down 30 Plymouth front leaf spring shackle mounts that are original to my frame. They are also moved back(hence the miss-calculation)to be used with split bones. I have described this more back in this thread. I have to weld up the torx head bolt still for a simulated rivet effect. I still have to install a 7degree taper bushing for the ball joints and I'm going to run older looking ones too.

  18. This would be an interesting look-see. I've searched here and can't find that one. Being a Ford man, I would enjoy the read ... if either of you stumble on that particular HAMB post. I've typed all I could think of. Thanks fellas'.

The one I saw was in a post by 63Compact from Feb 22 2011. He's from Australia wonder if he still has the car? 32 in my favorite color I think.

    Development part 1.
I just wanted to do a small update so the few of you guys don't loose hope. My truck hasn't come to a total and complete halt. I finally scored a roached original 32 commercial grill. I never had any luck trying to claim one as my own so I bought an El'Cheapo car shell and was going to fabricate a pines winter front style replica out of copper and stainless, the former being nickel plated. Now I'll do the Pines on my other build and just repair this back to original looking.

The patch piece is for a 33-34 but I'll make it work along with the missing part behind the bars. I couldn't be more happy. I ended up paying about $50 for this grill after selling a even more pathetic 34 that came with it, hurray for me!
There are also other little changes going on through the developments to my other build "Hubba Hubba". Like the trading of front bones, using the 34s front axle(I'll have dropped), and swapping around gauges and gauge panels until I'm happy with the cohesiveness of both projects. The truck is giving up her 41 bones and perch bolts in favor for the 34 parts. I wish I could reposition the front Armstrong lever shock mounts to use the Henry ball mount on the 34 Perch bolt, We'll see.

    Development part 2.
I sold the big aluminum cylinder heads for my 342ci Windsor motor to afford engines and a trans for my other car. In the mean time until I can scrounge up a bigger and better replacement set, I made some trades with my brother and scored his set of cast iron ported Anderson Ford Motorsport GT40 heads with stainless 1.90 + 1.60 Ferrea valves and Comp cams springs and retainers. These need to be cleaned up.

Also in the deal I got a Anderson hydraulic roller cam and aluminum roller rockers to complete the package. The cam shaft is much smaller than the one for my real motor(.544" lift for the hydraulic vs. .637" for the solid for mine) but I'm trying to sell it for it is intended for a supercharger or nitrous setup. I just want something comparable in size for normally aspirated. I'm kicking myself cause I just sold two good possibilities recently.
I have all the stuff to the throw together a whole temporary smaller 306ci motor with KB 11.3 to 1 Pistons, good rods and other bits. This hold me over combo will unfortunately make at least 140 or so horsepower less than my intended motor. The temp. engine will still retain the "60s roundyround" theme. I don't know about color though. I am putting this together with a Mustang oil pan that I have laying around so if this motor runs good some one will want to buy it for there mustang(without the intake and carbs of course) since there's millions of them rolling around. Then I can finish my good motor and do wheelies at the HAMB Drags!

Very cool, I need at least one bar.
I got chin piece on that auction site. I'm sad to say that's where I do a lot of my shopping cause it's right at my fingertip and I still can safely watch my children(my day job) with fancy phone in hand. It was the last one the guy had is the only reason I bought it. I don't want to direct money away from Hubba Hubba but sometimes you got to strike while the iron is hot. The guy is out of Campbell CA. Is seller name is afpbill, he has a store on there, maybe contact him. Good luck.

Congrats on the grill; it looks plenty fixable. The 306 motor seems a good replacement to me .I like small cu. inches.

It's just temporary but will let me work the bugs out and finish sooner. Small are cool but I'll be pretty bored with the power.

I base all my progress off of @The37Kid and work up from there, ha! just funning around. No really thanks any progress with the truck will keep me from getting down about pouring my heart and soul into Hubba Hubba.[emoji41]

Much like the front axle for my sedan build, I worked my butt off on something just to have a cooler part thrown my way upon completion. These, if you don't follow use to be my pride
    ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1445215724.593825.jpg
But today I coaxed out of my Wife's Father these truck backing plates
    ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1445215826.273504.jpg
I will probably make another nifty scoop for them as well. Something bigger more racy than the old set.
