8BA Flathead K1991

I have a flathead block with K1991 cast on the back where the bell housing bolts on. My other 8BA doesn't have this(it has some other unreadable marks). What does the K1991 mean? I did a search with no results.

That's correct. I've seen lots of flatheads with casting marks and symbols that have no signifigance to anyone outside of a Ford plant. K1991 is probably one.
