This may be a silly question but is it possible to run 8ba heads on a 59a generation of flathead? To take it alittle further would it be possible to run them with the water necks on the opposite side of the engine. Left on the right side and vice versa? I'm aware to run the earlier heads on a later engine a water passage must be blocked. To run the later heads on a earlier engine would the passage need to be blocked on the head instead of the block? I seem to remember seeing a photo of a navarro build engine with later style heads being run reversed.
