Hello all! I just got my first flathead; 1950 Ford Custom 2dr with an 8BA, everything is stock. If this is covered somewhere in another post forgive me and point me in the right direction.

I got the car about a month ago and it fires/ idles well. I changed the fuel filter ( fuel had a tinged color) and used a few ounces of seafoam in the tank (which is newer), some carb clean spray while it idled, and changed the oil (penngrade 30w). Now it seems to have a occasional warble at idle and slight hesitation going from idle to accelerating and slight shutter during mid range revving in gear. The car has a lot of newer (stock) components and appears to have been very well maintained. It fires right up from cold and idles well just seems to be a bit off.

My question is should I start looking at timing, or carb rebuild (powervalve or accel pump) or fuel pump diaphragm replacement?

Thank you in advance (pun intended)
