Technical 8BA low oil pressure/restrictor fitting

    Very interesting.
    I really don’t see a whole lot of difference on your readings between the two oils
    I’ve now went through two oil changes after switching to Lucas.
    My oil pressure has increased to a negligible level at a hot rpm but increased 10 lbs at a cruising speed while being hot.
    I’d be comfortable with your hot readings. I’ve heard guys running very low pressures at hot high idle and not having issues.

    I think the readings for the Lucas oil readings would have been a little better than what I posted because the engine was about 15 degrees hotter than the VR1 oil at the time the readings were taken. 175 degrees compared to 160. I will check it again today and see if it makes any difference.
