Anyone out there running a 1935 Flathead 8BA in a '35 or '36 Ford. I've found a good deal on one, but I've heard stories about radiator fitment problems.

Did you have to run a specific waterpump and / or motor mount spacer? I really want to run a mechanical fan too. Pictures are always great. I really don't know flatheads, so thanks in advance for your help.

Other than making sure the waterpumps have the correct motormount style,
The most obvious problem will be the oil pan.
The 8ba's front slope isn't as steep compared to the earlier styles,
and it might interfere with the tie rod (especially if you lower the front end).

You might get lucky though, there are many versions of the oil pans from 49-53.
On a '35 sedan I raised the engine up 2" to compensate,
(had lowered the front a couple inches which made the tie rod issue worse)
On my '40 it was easier to heat up the steering arm
(had the larger truck oilpan on an 8cm)
and it has leaked ever since, (the steering box!)

    good luck
