   Don't lynch me for this post as I know this is much debated and beat like a dead horse. Buuuuttttt, I picked up my first Merc (1950) with it's original rebuilt 8CM and want to see what you all have to say about oil capacity. The manuals I've read say 5 quarts but everyone says 4 (No filter on my car).
