8th Annual Propwash Party!.......May 21st, 2011

The 8th annual Propwash Party is on May 21, this year.
We again have Brian Dunning and the Rock and Roll Trio providing the tunes.

There will be Hot Rods, Kustoms, Airplanes, and Military vehicles etc., on the airport.
Its just a good old time, like a Car show, Airshow and Family Picnic all in one.
Pile in the Rod and come on out.
We always pass a good time.
3pm til 3am

Propwash is right behind Texas Motor Speedway.
If your going to fly in its 16X and freq is 122.9.


Come Grab 2nd and pull a Pint!

What...I'm going to be in town for this one. Can't wait to make it. Till 3AM...wow does anyone ever campout? Guess I could sleep in the vert.

 

We had a Shithook and a couple of UH-60 Seahawks make a pass down the runway a while back.
also have had a C-47 make a TaG, B-24 and B-29 make high passes recently.

You probably could land the 130 and back it up into my yard.
Getting out may need JATO though.

Wish You and Ovaltine could be here too, be safe.

We had 2 Chinook's pass right over the hanger at less than 1000 feet, this afternoon.
Those are some big monsters.
also got confirmation on the Huey that will be attending the party.

Wish I was going to be in your area this weekend...I love big warbirds, can't beat a big radial engined airplane! Old airplanes and old cars nothing better.

 

Damn this sounds cool, I hope to bring my Pops with me to this one...We love Warbirds!!

 

My folks are driving up from Baton Rouge for this.

The only thing that sounds better than a Flathead is a R-2800!

Trivia.....IIRC, this C-47 was ordered by Eastern Airlines with B-17 engines.
It was delivered to the USAAF but retained the Wright R-1820's
