9 3/8 ford ring and pinion

I have a 2.50 ring and pinion that came out of a 77 mkv 460.can I put this set in a 9" pick up housing? if I grind the case for it to fit..........

 

Yes you can with a little grinding. I use to run one with 3.50 gears for long trips and would change back to my 9 inch center section with 4.56 for around town . The only difference I found was that I needed 2 different length drive shafts because one of them was longer than the other from mounting face too the u joint . Jim
